Please continue reading to learn more about mōksa, which is offering our readers a giveaway of a $30 gift certificate.
It is hard not to love a company that has recently been honoured by the Sierra Club for the environmental work they have done in the marketplace. mōksa is passionate about what they do as a company and recognize the power that they have in the world; having decided to harness the capability of their name, they are saving elephants, supporting fair trade and changing packaging norms – all with bars of soap…and some amazing body creams. Something that I love about this company is that they openly discuss the trade off of environmentally responsible production. They know they could make more money off their products, but they choose to be carbon neutral, they choose to buy only fairly traded shea butter and they support a  number of non-profit organizations.
So, they have me with their message and their philosophy, but they don’t stop there. When my mōksa package arrived, I didn’t even want to crack open the soap  because the packaging was so well designed. All of their packaging is tree-free, devoid of virgin plastic and is mostly recycled materials, and yet they manage to wrap their senses seducing soap in all kinds of lovely.
The products themselves were exceptional. To be honest, I don’t use body creams, lotions or oils because my skin consistently reacts badly with each trial. Even some of the best products available have made my skin unhappy and red. But mōksa? Not a bump or a red mark in sight. I used the soap with every bath during the month of September (and probably had a few more baths than were necessary) and only benefited from the heavenly warm scents and oils in the Kilimanjaro Bar of soap that I was given. I am also a huge fan of the other Kilimanjaro product I was given from this line of particular products that support the IFAW’s campaign to save the endangered African Elephant. This organic body butter is made with ingredients that you could pretty much scoop out of its little tub and eat! This body butter melts right into your skin and doesn’t leave behind any oil residue, and the smell! Just divine. My son quickly sniffed out my body butter and has since made himself a presence at the end of my bath time, insisting that he get a little body butter massage too! I am only too happy to apply this product to my son’s skin. With ingredients like this, he can take a bath in it if he wants; it stands head and shoulders over most of the products offered to children.
I was also sent a bottle of Lavender Bergamot Organic Body Oil, which is meant to be nourishing and healing to one’s skin. Like the other two products, the body oil was bursting with just the right amount of essential oils and the jojoba was amazing for my skin. After a leg shave, this is my new go-to product as it soothes and moisturizes my legs. Having never really used body oil outside of massage therapy appointments, I am a convert.
I am bursting to recommend this company and its products to you. I won’t ever buy anything for my body from anywhere else.
